The 75th United Nations General Assembly has passed a resolution that designates July 25th each year as World Drowning Prevention Day.

to enhance their awareness of water safety and take measures to prevent drowning accidents.

Drowning is currently the third leading cause of unintentional injury-related deaths globally, accounting for 7% of all injury-related deaths.

全球每年因溺水死亡的人数约为23.5万，每天650人、每小时26人

Approximately 235,000 people die from drowning each year worldwide, which equates to 650 people per day or 26 people per hour.

In our country,

每年约有5.7万人死于溺水，其中少年儿童溺水死亡人数占总溺水死亡人数的56.04%

around 57,000 people die from drowning annually, with children and adolescents comprising 56.04% of the total drowning deaths.
